OSTEOPATHY

A WHOLE BODY APPROACH TO HEALTH.

Learn about the awesome tools we use in the clinic -

  • Photobiomodulation - We utilise state of the art super-pulsed laser to turbo charge your cells healing potential. It is a safe non invasive means of improving healing times and outcome for our patients.

  • Supercharge your rehab with patented DC bioelectrical retraining.

  • A medicalised approach to acupuncture. Utilising needlings to stimulate healing through muscle ‘twitch’, these needles pack a punch and help improve change to the patient

  • Description text goes here

We utilise these tools and apply them to the core philosophical principles of Osteopathic Medicine.

  1. Whole-Body Perspective: We treat the entire body, aiming to restore balance and function.

  2. Structure Influences Function: Our treatments consider how the body & structure affects function and how function affects structure.

  3. Natural Healing: We facilitate the body’s ability to heal itself. In our practice, we blend the latest research with our clinical expertise, but our main focus remains improving patient outcomes through individualised care. By adapting our strategies to meet each patient’s needs, we can hope to provide effective and practical care that addresses immediate concerns and promotes long-term well-being.

WHAT TO EXPECT AS A NEW PATIENT?

  • LET'S TALK ABOUT IT

We will discuss what is happening and how we can best help.

We will then take a comprehensive health and injury history.

  • LET'S LOOK, MOVE & TEST IT

We will then conduct an extensive physical examination to ascertain what is occurring.

  • CREATE A MEANINGFUL PLAN

Based on the findings we will sit down and talk about what is involved with treatment, marrying this up with your goals. You will be provided with a detailed prognosis regarding your condition.

  • TREATMENT

Now the Fun part! Lets start the healing process and get you back to performing your best!

Our goal with patient care is clear communication and education about what is going on, where you are at with your presenting complaint, and what the road to recovery looks like.

Each patient will be given a patient pack that outlines the nature of their presentation, what rehab looks like in its various stages, and the estimated timeline for recovery. We are not interested in keeping people in the dark regarding their condition.

We are committed to going as far in your health journey as you would like.

Meet our Practitioners

My name is Robert Korac and I am a father, sporting tragic, above average cook, dad joke extraordinaire and a board certified registered Osteopath. Growing up in Sydney and spending many years plying my craft as a sports person, I found myself eventually spending more time in the sheds than on the field. After 4 knee surgeries, several concussions, 3 ligaments torn in my wrist, 2 broken noses and almost everything in between, I decided that helping people would be a far better use of my time. Having seen everyone short of a witch doctor, I found that time and time again, I was going back to the Osteo to fix my issues.

I have always found Osteopathy empowered me and focused on what I could do, getting me back to where I wanted to be sooner. This is what I want to offer you. Honest, straight forward and meaningful solutions to help you get to where you want to be.

Dr Robert Korac

Principal Osteopath

  • I cater to a diverse clientele, from elite athletes to everyday individuals navigating life’s challenges. Choosing family over a Ph.D. offer, I’m now pursuing a Masters of Strength and Conditioning , continually to sharpen and improve as a clinician.

I have over 10 years of experience working as a coach and more recently as an Osteopath. I have worked with a range of athletes including national level swimmers, BJJ, Australian Rules players and everyday people .

I take interest in managing chronic presentations, such as shoulder and low back conditions, seeking a non-surgical and minimally invasive route for my patients. My method goes beyond traditional treatment; empowering patients with knowledge, making recovery a journey of improvement and understanding. In my practice, osteopathy and sports medicine is more than a job—it's an avenue for healing, education, and connecting people back to their lives.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No referral is needed. Your Osteopath is an AHPRA registered, Osteopathy Board registered clinician, with no referral required for your visit.

  • Osteopathy looks at the body as a whole, considering several factors when diagnosing your presentation. It is a unique way of looking at your problem when compared to physiotherapists and chiropractors. Chiropractors look at alignment, posture and the central nervous system and base most treatments around creating harmony of these 3 tenants. Physiotherapists are trained musculoskeletal clinicians that typically ply their expertise at rehabbing specific tendons, joints, and ligaments. All have a place in the health landscape, we both respect and appreciate our counterparts and look to collaborative, not combative

  • During your session, your Osteopath will

    1. Check in and see how your condition is progressing.

    2. Conduct assessment specific to your case.

    3. Begin treatment, typically hands on (wear something comfortable and easy to move in).

    4. Your osteopath will review and/or prescribe exercises interventions where necessary

  • Yes, Osteopathy is safe. Informed consent - where you know what and why we are doing is a key part of what we offer - We are a registered proffession with AHPRA and all of our Osteopaths are Board certified with Osteopathy Australia. Along with a 5 year university education our practitioners complete over 40+ hours of extra learning every year. Our Osteopaths have undergone extensive training and continue to stay up to date to ensure they can provide safe and effective treatment for our patients.

  • The number of sessions required depends on the severity of your condition, how long you've had it, and how well you respond to treatment. Your Osteopath will discuss a treatment plan with you based on your individual needs and goals.
We try to maintain a level of honesty and integrity in our work. If for whatever reason you are not meeting our expectations regarding the progression of your condition, we will refer you for either further testing or consultation. We are interested in the improvement of the patient, our job is to help you and if by chance we are not the most appropriate person for the job we will find the person that is.

  • Yes, Osteopathy can complement other forms of treatment such as physiotherapy, chiropractic, and massage therapy. Our clinic does work alongside Podiatrists and Exercise Physiologists. Speak with our team to find out more about our collaborations and preferred providers.
